Dearest Lady Mystery,

This is Ebbëto, the author of Analog.
I'm not much of an internet guy, actually, lately I've been old-school: back to hand drawn illustrations, painting, film experiments, etc... My computer serves only as a music playing device (mostly jazz, dark jazz, industrial, ebm, minimal and electronic curiosities) and checking those who, strangely, send me emails.
One day, just checking, I wondered if there might have been some news on Analog (this bizarre piece that no one seemed to understand) and then, by chance, yet, so fortunately, I found you.
I want to thank you, Lady Mystery, kindly, for writing such a beautiful review on my film!
It seems that you really understood it. You were there...You felt it...entirely.
For me, there is no greater reward - Knowing that someone, far far away, in this vast world, felt what was meant to be felt. Even more, as many who have read your article would agree, your writing is amazing: so precise - a cold and accurate analysis mixed with a drop of passion.
So I would like to thank you, ("Obrigado!" since you know your Portuguese), and ask you if I could put your review on my site. For it would make it complete in it's analytical perfection.
I would love to send you (that was gorgeous, by the way, in your analysis) the android's uniform and goggles, but, unfortunately, the actor, Fabio, kept them as a reminder, but, I would love to send you a dvd in full quality.

I like the way you watermarked some of these pictures.

A very Florida-like environment, sans the rocks and noticeable altitude changes.

Congrats on getting back into college!

I've had almost the same exact problem with writing (including the side-effects). I still haven't found any "cure" for it, but being stuck somewhere with nothing else to do seems to help, but the problem (if you can call it that) is getting stuck somewhere with nothing to do. I also don't like the essay size padding process, but when passing a class was decided by turning in an essay or two, I had no problem putting filler in.

I enjoy the beach to some extent, but I've got sunburn-prone genes.

Very fine sand on that beach, in comparison to the ones near me (Florida West Coast; pale, lots of ground-up shell).

The traffic is coming from mostly facebook and twitter plus the usual
traffic I get from search engines. The home and related posts are what's
increasing the traffic.

Can you tell where they're coming from? From that, you could tell if the spikes are from people wanting to click your links more due to the change, or if search engines like this style more... Or maybe something unexpected or a mix of the two! I suspect that it's a linking thing; spikes that frequent often mean that.

Thanks for the feedback. You've seen a few layouts of this site so I
appreciate your input. I understand the sidebar thing but I really wanted
something different. I was going to put the menu either at the top or the
bottom and I chose bottom.

I have a similar trait; generally things that you can work on and at any point see what it is so far (coding for the most part falls under this category) tends to be easier for me to focus on. Usually working with friends helps me with the other kind of work (bringing entertainment to an otherwise dull process).

The current layout is a little odd for me as far as blogs go. Odd, in the "I'm not used to it yet, but you could be on to something here" kind of way. I'm so used to blogs and similar sites with sidebars. I think a few adjustments here and there to make the overall visible page smaller (via padding reductions) may, well, that's really just what I'd find more appealing. I like that post header background texture.

I've had google ads on and off in several sites of mine but I still haven't
reached the $100 mark.

Another thing that may help would be to get a Google Adsense account, but they pay in $100 increments which I haven't even reached once yet.

If it would help ease your conscience/comfort level/whatever it's called if you got on the server Mac and I use, I could make you an ad code for you to put on the site somewhere to supplement my income, but that's not required if you join. (I know some people are completely against ads on their sites. Mac doesn't even have any on his.)

piggybacking on someone else's hosting but I'll keep the offer in mind. I

I might have an alternative solution.

The guy that runs the server my sites are on is willing to host both of your sites (he's seen them before, and likes what you've done with them). I could understand if you'd want your own server, though.

How about shades of violet? It's dark, can be overplayed, but as far as colors go, it can work when used in a restrained fashion and the possibilities are limitless. How vague of me, isn't it?

I've been using the Motion WP theme's transparent image sectioning a lot lately, and that has proven to be pretty cool; I'd recommend it, and I'm sure you could find some cool way of using layered colors or something.

I see what you mean. There are services that offer data backup but like
Moozone, they only offer around 2GB for free, anything extra comes out of
your pocket. I tried looking for something like that but haven't had much
luck. I lack a computer of my own at the moment so I rely mostly on FTP to
transfer data.

I wonder if there's an option to access a server; site owners like us could easily take advantage of that, plus there are some people that buy server back-ups, too.

Just saying that because to me, 2 GB sounds pretty small. Better than nothing, though.

Search for Task Manager by Rhythm Software in the Market and install it,
it's free. There you will see a list of all running apps. By clicking them

I used to use Tumblr, too, but nobody that was interested in what I talk about seemed to be on there. At least, no one there that fit the bill found me. I leave my stuff up though, in case some day I change my mind, or want to look back on it.
